I have completed my first prototype of the Octopus Vulgaris Mobile Armor. Project name, OVMA. Upon first creation I expected these sea dwelling creatures to reject the said armor. In a strange coincidence they actually grow accustomed to it rather quickly. This might have something to do with their biological limitations. Octopi being invertebrates, lack the foundation in anatomy to have full access upon it's limbs. That being said of course I had to amputate all eight limbs in order to properly construct the proper pathways of biology versus technology. In conclusion that have obtained more autonomy in these mechanical suits as opposed to their own bodies. For whatever reason though they appreciate the ability to travel on land, they prefer dark spaces. More often than not instead of guarding the coasts, they spend more times in caves. Maybe I can use this to my advantage, use them as miners to help me fund my experiments. They may resent me for the pain inflicted to their highly sensitive nervous systems but can be possibly conditioned to be my own person minions. Thankfully these creatures are very intelligent. Like any intelligent creature they can be trained. I might need to experiment different possibilities in limb attachments and armor density for better sustainability, depending on the location. But for now, let them roam.
